Nanpa
Or a casual greeting?
Today, I was standing and eating shio-lemon karaage bou in front of 7-Eleven near my home. Salt lemon flavored Japanese-style chicken skewer (OMG the translation is very long!) is so good. It’s not addictive, but you’d miss it. I think it has been one year I haven’t eaten this. And it seems, it is 7-Eleven kikan gentei product.
Hmmm.
There was a black guy walking toward the store and he noticed me that I’m a foreigner, so he decided to greet me.
“Hello!”
“Hello,” I replied.
“Where are you from?”
I mentioned my country and he said he’s from Jamaica. He’s working as a construction worker and currently building houses not so far from 7-Eleven.
I know, I know. The petit 60-sqm (maybe less) 3-storey houses that will be priced in 600000 USD, right? A real estate agent showed me the land before you started building them.
“Wow, you look so big like me!”
Dou iu koto? You said I’m big? It’s physical, physical.
Harassment, you know!
I mean, you don’t need to say something that is very obvious. I know I’m fat. ๐ฅฒ
He then asked me another question.
“Are you single?” Deta, deta.
“Hmmm, yes.”
“No boyfriend?”
I cannot be too honest. Let me spice up my boring life.
“No, but I have a girlfriend,” I lied.
“Girlfriend? Why?”
“Yeah, because I like girls?”
“Why? Are you serious? Why beautiful girl likes you do not like guys?”
“I don’t know. But I like girls.”
“You’re funny, huh.”
No, I’m not and please leave me alone. ๐ญ
“I need to go, “ I said.
“Take care!”
“You too!”
Run, run, run. ๐♀️
He seems a nice guy and maybe doesn’t have bad intention. But I just don’t want to create more troubles for my life. I want to live a peaceful life.
I said to my close friend that a Jamaican guy greeted me and I said to him I am lesbian.
She commented,
“Why? You don’t know, maybe he has a rich handsome friend that can be introduced to you?“
Hmmm… like a care.
